Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Sous Chef located in Ridgeland, SC. The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, staff supervision, menu planning, and ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards, overseeing inventory and food stocking, and collaborating with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. The role demands creativity, strong leadership, and time management to ensure smooth operations in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development
- Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience maintaining kitchen hygiene standards
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality output
- Experience in inventory management and cost control processes
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar leadership role is highly desirable
