Dietary Aide/Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Aid to join our team in providing nutritious and delicious meals for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in meal preparation and food safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that dietary needs are met within Sunrise Recovery. 12 hour rotating 3/4 day e/o Fri Sat Sun off.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and client needs
• Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to develop menus that meet nutritional requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health regulations, state and federal guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in a culinary role within the food industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices, particularly in a healthcare setting, is essential.
• Experience working in a dietary department, nursing home, or assisted living facility is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with meal preparation for special diets (e.g., low sodium, diabetic) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are required.
