Position Summary

Northwest Machine is seeking a Machine Tool Sales Representative to manage and grow a dedicated territory selling Mazak and Hydromat machine tools and Mitutoyo inspection equipment, including turning centers, vertical and horizontal machining centers, multi-tasking equipment, CMM's and vision systems.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who understands manufacturing, enjoys working directly with customers, and wants to represent the most respected brands in the CNC industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales territory.
• Develop new business while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships
• Identify customer manufacturing challenges and recommend appropriate machine solutions
• Work closely with Northwest Machine's engineering and service teams to deliver complete solutions
• Conduct on-site customer visits, machine demonstrations, and proposal presentations
• Manage the sales process from lead generation through order close
• Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasts, and opportunity tracking
• Attend trade shows, open houses, and customer events as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in machine tool sales, CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, or related industrial sales
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes (milling, turning, multi-axis, or automation)
• Ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships
• Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently in a territory
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory
