Position Summary

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor (or Manager), the Warehouse Laborer will perform an array of functions that may include, but not be limited to receiving and processing incoming material, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and organizing inventory in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, placing orders in delivery area
• Open bales, crates, cartons, and other containers
• Prepare and process parcels for mailing and packages for shipping
• Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise with accuracy
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
• Communicate with customers internally and externally as required via email, telephone, or in person
• Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer – may also assist in counting of physical inventory
• Wear proper PPE as needed
• Oversight of packing line personnel
• Understand and adhere to all Stokes Seeds policies and safety guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years warehouse experience preferred
• Good communication (written and oral), organizational, time management, and mathematical skills
• Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills
• Dependable and reliable

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
