Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper storage of clean items
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling ingredients when needed
- Support the catering team by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for events or banquet functions
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen area to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service times
Skills
- Strong understanding of food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
- Experience in bussing tables, food preparation, or catering environments is a plus
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel kitchen operations enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills to coordinate seamlessly with culinary and service staff
- Basic cooking knowledge is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Prior experience in hospitality or food service roles demonstrates reliability and enthusiasm for the industry
