Responsibilities
Design user experiences for developer tools and workflows related to Alexa device app testing, submission, and certification processes.
Create interaction design, visual design, wireframes, and prototypes that deliver delightful developer experiences.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences.
Support user research activities with developers to understand pain points and workflows throughout the app development lifecycle.
Design and iterate on developer consoles, dashboards, testing interfaces, and submission portals.
Apply and contribute to design systems and patterns that scale across developer touchpoints.
Present design concepts to team members and stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure quality implementation of designs.
Balance developer needs with business objectives and technical constraints.
Develop AI automation tools (e.g., Figma plugins with vibe coding).
Qualifications
Experience delivering design solutions as a UX or interaction designer.
Available online portfolio demonstrating design work.
Experience acquiring user data (conducting usability studies, creating personas, journey maps).
Experience designing software applications, tools, or web-based products.
Understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate with engineering teams.
Proficiency in industry‑standard design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.).
Experience in mass‑market consumer web/mobile products.
Experience working collaboratively with developers for implementation of designs.
Knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) to inform design decisions.
Experience designing developer‑facing products, technical tools, or B2B applications.
Technical background or familiarity with software development concepts and testing processes.
Understanding of app submission review and certification workflows (iOS App Store, Google Play, etc.).
Experience with voice interfaces, conversational design, or IoT device ecosystems.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Experience with AI tools (vibe coding, Figma plugins, automation).
