We foster fairness, equity, and inclusion to create a workplace environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesWorking from our office in Duluth, Georgia, or from your home in Georgia, the Math Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement in the area of Mathematics. They will be responsible for analyzing data to develop intervention pathways for students who are struggling academically. The Math Interventionist will also use data to develop and implement small group and individual instruction. They will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress.
Additionally, they will be expected to participate in both in-person and virtual student-centered activities and events.Job functions: Provides high-quality instruction to individual students and small groupsUses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade-levelCollaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of studentsUses identified research-based interventions focusing specifically on individual student goals and objectivesMaintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progressProvides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progressCommunicate with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progressAssists with identifying students for placement into intervention groupsParticipates in IEP meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progressProvide diagnostic assessments for students as neededProvides input for program developmentSupports implementation of assessment tools and data management systemsSupports grade-level teachers in what they are teaching to provide further instruction as neededTeach and monitor the Math Enrichment coursesOther duties as assignedRequirementsAbility to work full-time hours from Monday through FridayCertified in Special Education General CurriculumMath Endorsement or CertificationPrevious teaching experienceStrong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets products)Excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenStrong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work well in fast-paced environmentTeam player track record; ability to collaborateCustomer-focused approachAbility to work independently and remotelyWillingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require overnight travel)Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some familiesMust be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
