Vanguard's Global Public Policy (GPP) function is responsible for managing Vanguard's policymaker relationships and driving our investor-focused policy agenda through advocacy, policy expertise, research and thought leadership, and data and analysis. The Policy Development, Operations, and Reporting team streamlines policy formation, provides operational support, and tracks, measures, and reports progress. This position on GPP's Global Policy Development, Operations, and Reporting team will coordinate with GPP colleagues and business partners.
What you'll do:
- Lead multiple projects or major workstreams, ensuring structured planning, execution and monitoring of deliverables within defined scope and timelines.
- Track key metrics, preparing detailed reports and providing leadership with data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
- Provide expert recommendations on critical GPP operational challenges, ensuring timely attention of escalated issues.
- Maintain and improve GPP technology infrastructure.
- Review and validate data, documents, and reports for completeness and precision.
- Prepare reporting materials for Vanguard senior leadership and Board use and ensure all output represents best and final work, ready for executive and stakeholder review.
What you'll need:
- Minimum five years strong project management experience, stakeholder engagement and process optimization. Public policy expertise is a not required.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to demonstrate your commitment and alignment to Vanguard's mission of taking a stand for all investors, treating them fairly and giving them the best chance of investment success.
- Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter, taking initiative to identify and solve problems.
- Advanced skill in using project management and reporting tools i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI, etc.
- Exceptional communicator and relationship builder, adept at identifying key stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems with clear analysis and actionable solutions.
- Proven ability to implement strategy and drive business outcomes through fast-paced, high-impact workstreams, with a focus on prioritization.
NOTE:
This role will be a hybrid role working 2 days per week from home and 3 days per week in our Washington, DC office location.
