We're searching for that perfect person to fill the Lawn/Landscape Technician position at our growing family-owned and operated business servicing Sarasota county. Our clients aren't just numbers, and we treat our employees like valued assets.

Efficient physical labor, positive interaction with clients, and care/respect of clients' lawns and landscaping is the key to succeeding in this position. Core responsibilities include operation of a weed eater, edger, and blower as we work to provide the highest quality lawn and landscape services and maintenance at competitive prices 12 months out of the year; not just during the summer.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess relevant skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality results. Prior experience in lawn care and landscaping is preferred; but for the right person we are open to training and providing valuable trade experience that could be useful for growth in the future, so we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in various aspects of landscape and lawn maintenance while working in a laid-back, friendly, steady-paced environment.

Duties and Expectations:

• Perform lawn care tasks including but not limited to weed-eating, edging, blowing off roads and driveways; unloading and loading lawn equipment; fueling up lawn equipment, picking up landscape debris
• Perform labor related to landscaping such as removal of debris, mulch rock; prepping areas for installation of plants; installing plants, fill dirt, rock, mulch, sod, yard ornaments, water features, outdoor furniture, and more
• Maintain proper care of lawn equipment; perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
• Follow manager instructions, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines during all tasks

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining landscaping equipment
• Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance (preferred)
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and lawn/landscaping equipment such as blowers, edgers, weed eaters, etc
• Familiarity with irrigation systems
• Excellent physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Good communication skills for understanding and coordinating client lawn and landscape needs and expectations
• Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining attention to safety standards.
• Proficient in English
• Ability to evaluate what type of lawn care is needed on a case-by-case basis

Pay: $ $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
