Counter Sales Associate

Overview
This is a full-time on-site position based in Youngstown, OH, for a Counter Sales Representative. The role involves assisting customers by identifying and recommending suitable products, handling in-store inquiries, and processing transactions. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, loading and unloading trucks, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Counter Sales Representative will also work closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide product training when necessary, contributing to an excellent in-store experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to encourage upselling opportunities
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person
• Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure products are well-organized for easy access
• Assist with product demos, promote special offers, and suggest complementary items to maximize sales potential

Requirements

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to provide exceptional assistance and build positive relationships with customers.
• Proven Sales and Sales Management experience to help customers choose the right products and support overall sales growth.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to resolve customer inquiries and uphold quality standards.
• Previous experience in retail or plumbing supplies is preferred but not required.

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
