Learning Support Aide

Are you passionate about supporting learners in a creative, hands-on educational environment? We are expanding and seeking a caring, reliable, and flexible Learning Support Aide to join our dynamic microschool community.

About the Role:

As our Learning Support Aide, you'll play a key role in supporting learners in the classroom and during off-campus, place-based learning experiences (field trips, community explorations, and enrichment activities). This is a part-time, in-person role ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values experiential education, and is comfortable driving learners when needed.

Schedule:

• Regular Hours:

Monday,Tuesday,Thursday,Friday | 8:30a-12p

• Place-Based Learning Days:

Start time may begin earlier depending on the activity (advance notice provided)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support to lead educators during afternoon learning blocks
• Assist with supervision, transitions, and enrichment activities
• Drive learners to and from local field trips and place-based learning sites using school's small activity bus
• Build positive, respectful relationships with learners
• Support a creative and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the cultural strengths of our community

Requirements:

• Enjoy working with children in grades K–8
• Responsible, flexible, and team-oriented
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to school site
• Previous experience in childcare, education, or youth programming a plus

Compensation:

• Hourly rate based on experience
• Part-time, conttact position
• Potential for growth and additional hours as the school expands
