Experienced Lowboy CDL Driver

Job Summary
Sadler Electric is seeking a reliable, experienced Lowboy CDL Driver to join our team. The position includes hauling heavy equipment to and from local job sites. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of load securement, route delivery, DOT compliance and general knowledge of handling various types of trailers including flatbeds, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers. Construction equipment transports will include both over-dimensional and over-weight loads requiring permitting and special accommodations.

Pay

• $28.00+ depending on experience

Duties

• Safely operate Lowboy trailers.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Plan and execute route driving to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate fuel logs.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
• Assist with freight handling tasks including load & unload operations as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1-year experience operating Lowboy trailers.
• 2 years' experience preferred.
• Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently and safely.
• Strong knowledge of load securement and weight distribution.
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate additional equipment.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability, and punctuality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
