We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Systems Analyst to join Equitable's Technology team. This role will support our data warehouse vision by maintaining our new Azure data hub platform. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing, and executing test plans, and reporting on test results. You will also work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that the deliverables meet the business needs and quality standards.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with the Architects, DevOps Leads and stakeholders to define target state data solutions. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be accountable for contributing to the data solution in our Azure EQDataHub world. Working closely with Data Delivery team members and business users to address all data and reporting needs for the entire organization.

You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement, and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
What you'll do:
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all data sources in the Azure EQDataHub
Analyze business needs and system requirements and translate that into business specification documents
Evaluate and improve system performance and quality
Collaborate and coordinate with other business system analysts
Learn and adapt to new technologies and trends
Gather and document business requirements from clients and stakeholders
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data using Azure Test Plans
Execute test cases, both manually and using automated tools such as Azure DevOps
Identify, report, and track software defects and issues using Azure DevOps
Perform regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
Collaborate with developers and project managers to resolve issues and ensure software quality
Provide feedback and suggestions for software improvement and enhancement
Prepare and present test reports and metrics to clients and stakeholders
Stay updated with the latest Azure cloud technologies and best practices with the mindset of migrating on-prem data warehouse solutions to Azure
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
Three years of experience in business analysis and quality assurance testing using Microsoft technologies
Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
CBAP certification would be an asset
Experience in agile methodologies and Azure DevOps tools.
Knowledge of SQL, HTML, XML, and other scripting languages
Excellent ability to record data and plan in Excel/PowerPoint
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills
An eye and a passion for detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
