Grey County Transportation Services is recruiting a Student Clerical Assistant to provide administrative support in the Transportation Services department. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

Student positions are expected to begin on May 4, 2026, in alignment with student orientation.

Purpose 

As a member of the Transportation Services team, you will perform a variety of departmental functions including general clerical and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities 

Under the general direction of the Administration Manager, the successful candidate will possess good analytical, organizational and computer skills, as well as the ability to work well unsupervised with an eagerness to learn. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential for phone conversations with the public and data entry.

Knowledge and Skill

  • Currently enrolled in business administration or similar program at the college or university level
  • Eligible to work in Canada 
  • Occupational Health and Safety

    Ensure work is being completed in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. 

    Working Conditions

    Usual hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    Internal & External Working Relationships

    Establishes and maintains working relations with Grey County Staff. Represents the County with the public.

    Errors in judgment may jeopardize public and staff safety, lead to inconsistency across the County and may impair sensitive relationships with municipalities and the public.
