Job Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. As a member of the nursing department, the Registered Nurse has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Emergency Nursing Certificate

Other Education and Training

  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)

Other Information

  • Shellbrook is located approximately 45 km west of Prince Albert
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

Additional Comment

  • No guaranteed hours. Must be Available a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per 3 week period. Must be available all shifts, short shifts, short notice calls, stats and holidays, where applicable
