You will operate various types of material handling equipment, ensuring that materials are transferred efficiently and safely from receiving to production or storage areas. We prioritize a culture of safety and expect all employees to strictly follow safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting of items up to 60 pounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Move materials to and from production lines, staging areas, and shipping docks.
- Ensure proper placement and organization of inventory.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Physical capability for frequent lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for long periods.
- Strong commitment to safety and understanding of PPE requirements.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
