Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding role? Our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility is hiring! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, supporting our overall logistics network. Precision, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to Safety are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and containers.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to designated areas.
- Stack and retrieve inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Experience with manual Lifting and maneuvering of pallets.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail, crucial for Safety.
- Must adhere to all PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
This position requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations and a dedication to maintaining a secure environment. Previous experience in a similar logistics role is highly desirable.
