We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our bustling warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the efficient movement and handling of materials throughout the facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing stock, preparing orders, and ensuring materials are readily available for production or shipment. You'll work as part of a vital logistics team, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain. This role involves significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long hours. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) and manual methods.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipping orders.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Expect tasks involving significant lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, warehouse associate, or in a similar role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
