We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Miami, Florida. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our logistics, ensuring the efficient movement of goods within the facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to receive, store, pick, and ship products. Safety is our utmost priority, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, cherry pickers) to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse, including storage racks and production areas.
- Assist with order fulfillment by picking and staging products.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear aisles and pathways.
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Accurately record inventory movements using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Support overall logistics efficiency by performing other warehouse duties as needed.
- Current forklift certification and a minimum of 2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Commitment to a strong safety culture and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
