We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent Shipping Clerk at our Jacksonville, Florida location. This role is vital to our Logistics success, ensuring that all outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying shipment details. We are seeking a candidate with strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of accuracy and Safety. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and a chance to be part of a thriving distribution network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately document and process all outgoing shipments using our WMS.
- Verify shipping details against customer orders and ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Conduct final quality checks on packages to ensure they are properly sealed and labeled.
- Communicate shipment status and any issues to relevant internal departments and external partners.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring adherence to all Safety protocols.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, which may include some moderate Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Uphold stringent Safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a shipping, logistics, or administrative role is beneficial. Strong organizational and time management skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Familiarity with WMS and shipping software is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively. Understanding of Shipping and Logistics processes. Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
