We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing our clients network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across various environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge networking technologies and contribute to the stability of our enterprise systems.
*Duties*
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including Cisco routers, switches, Meraki devices, Juniper equipment, and firewalls such as Cisco ASA.
* Manage and support LAN, WAN, VPNs, MPLS, IPsec, and SD-WAN solutions to ensure seamless connectivity.
* Card Access/Basic Networking Skills needed
* IP Video Cameras, Access Control
* Maintain network protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, and MPLS routing to optimize data flow.
* Administer network services including Active Directory (GPO), LDAP authentication, NFS shares, SAN storage solutions, and load balancing configurations.
* Support virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Citrix; manage cloud environments such as AWS and Azure for hybrid infrastructure solutions.
* Assist with network architecture design for high availability and disaster recovery; support network installation projects and system upgrades.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on DevOps initiatives involving system integration via APIs and remote access software solutions.
* Document network configurations and procedures; adhere to ITIL best practices for incident management and change control.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of LAN/WAN architectures.
* Hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking equipment (routers/switches), Meraki cloud management platform, Juniper devices, and SDN solutions.
* Familiarity with network security tools such as IDS/IPS systems and PKI infrastructure.
* Experience managing data center environments with SAN storage solutions; working knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere.
* Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation; experience with cloud security practices in AWS or Azure environments.
* Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), VPN technologies (IPsec), encryption standards (SSL/TLS), and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds).
* Knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server/Client OSes as well as Linux distributions such as Debian or CentOS is essential.
* Prior experience supporting telecommunication systems including VoIP/QoS is a plus. This role requires a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the integrity of our network infrastructure. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for technology innovation and continuous learning to stay current with evolving networking trends.
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
