Join our rapidly expanding logistics network as a Forklift Operator in Raleigh, North Carolina! This role is essential for maintaining the smooth and efficient flow of materials within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to safely and accurately load and unload freight, move inventory, and support various warehouse operations. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; all operators must strictly follow safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires certified forklift operation experience, physical dexterity, and the ability to perform tasks including frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as put-aways and stock checks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve operational targets.
- Ensure proper handling of all materials to prevent damage.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operation in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Thorough understanding of forklift safety procedures and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety instructions.
