We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to ensure data accuracy within our inventory management system. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. As part of our logistics team, you'll contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our supply chain. We require strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While this role is more focused on data and analysis, there may be occasions involving moderate lifting, up to 30 pounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all inventory items.
- Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations staff to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and utilize required PPE.
- Support the logistics department in achieving inventory accuracy goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of inventory control best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Willingness to perform moderate lifting up to 30 pounds when necessary.
- Good communication skills.
