Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and ensuring proper product rotation. You will work closely with warehouse operations to reconcile inventory data and implement improvements to our systems. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a keen eye for detail are essential. While this role may involve some lifting and movement of goods, the primary focus is on data accuracy and process optimization within our logistics framework. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all team members are expected to follow safety guidelines and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary. Responsibilities:
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
  • Ensure accuracy of data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Identify and address root causes of inventory errors.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving some lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
