We are searching for a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our Baltimore, Maryland facility. This key role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management and logistics. You will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, managing staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. If you have a proven track record in warehouse coordination and a passion for operational excellence, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, and material handlers.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and ensure accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance productivity and reduce costs within logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and the proper use of PPE.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Ability to assist with or demonstrate lifting of items up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in WMS and other relevant software.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional heavy lifting.
