We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Picker/Packer at our busy warehouse in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You'll be responsible for the precise picking of items and their careful packing, directly impacting our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from inventory based on order slips.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for transit.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy before shipment.
- Operate hand trucks and other basic material handling equipment.
- Keep work areas tidy and contribute to a safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all established safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties and logistics support as needed.
- Perform tasks involving regular lifting of up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand order specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical capacity to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting.
- Awareness of safety procedures and willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a smooth logistics flow.
