We are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy facility in San Francisco, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stage, and transport inventory within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing stock, and ensuring accurate inventory placement. This position demands a high level of skill, precision, and an absolute commitment to Safety. You will conduct daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any maintenance needs promptly. Adherence to all company Safety policies and the mandatory use of PPE is expected at all times. The ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including heavy Lifting, safely and effectively is essential. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment and smooth material flow. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A comprehensive understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and logistics best practices is required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected logistics provider in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and report deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate inventory by placing and retrieving items correctly.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and use provided PPE.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with extensive experience.
- Proven ability to handle significant Lifting tasks safely.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols and logistics.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime if needed.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
