We are seeking a reliable and diligent Material Handler for our facility in Boise, Idaho. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and tracked effectively. As a Material Handler, you will play a key part in our logistics chain, supporting various departments with their material needs. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of goods, from receiving to dispatch. A strong focus on safety, particularly regarding proper lifting techniques and equipment operation, is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Move, stack, and stage materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed (certification may be required).
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
