Are you a proven leader ready to take on a challenging role? We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage and oversee operations at our busy Sacramento, California distribution center. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and the highest standards of safety. Your role will involve scheduling, training, performance management, and continuous improvement of warehouse processes within our logistics network. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing workflows, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems, safety regulations, and team dynamics is essential. We are committed to fostering a safe and positive work environment, and you will be expected to champion safety initiatives, enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and conduct regular safety audits. This position requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. While much of your time will be spent supervising and strategizing, you must also be capable of assisting with various warehouse tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs, when necessary. Your leadership will directly impact the success of our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
- Ensure efficient workflow and productivity in all warehouse operations.
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety and enforce all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counts and stock accuracy.
- Implement and improve warehouse procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and employee concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Assist with physical tasks, including lifting, as needed to support the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and implement solutions.
- Experience with managing schedules and performance metrics.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Shift: Rotating Shifts, Including Weekends
