We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our thriving logistics operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. You will work closely with warehouse associates, management, and other departments to identify and resolve inventory-related issues. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS). We are dedicated to maintaining a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount. The role involves some physical activity, including walking the warehouse floor and potentially assisting with material movement which may involve lifting. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and root causes of errors.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory accuracy.
- Manage and maintain the inventory system (WMS), ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with operations and other departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Uphold all safety standards and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management.
- Be aware of tasks that may require moderate lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
