We are actively recruiting for Picker/Packer positions at our busy distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-paced Logistics environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders by accurately retrieving items from inventory, securely packaging them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. We prioritize a safe working environment and require all employees to use the provided PPE . The job involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and regular Lifting .
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from shelves using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items safely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, using correct packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to general warehouse organization.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring the correct use of PPE at all times.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality targets.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking and packing role or general warehouse experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with RF scanning equipment and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to handle products with care.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and compliance with PPE requirements.
- Must be comfortable with repetitive tasks and moderate Lifting .
- A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to the success of the Logistics team.
