Abouttherole Wehaveanexcitingopportunityfora FacilitiesTechnician tojoinourteamin SouthLanarkshire onafull-time,permanentbasis.Thisroleisessentialtothesafe,efficient,andcompliantoperationofaschoolenvironment,carryingoutday-to-daymaintenance,inspections,andbasicrepairs. Youllworkbothindependentlyandaspartofawiderteam,ensuringfacilitiesaremaintainedtoahighstandardandallhealth&safetyrequirementsaremet.
Keyresponsibilities Openingandclosingtheschoolinlinewithrequiredoccupancytimes Carryingoutinternalandexternalbuildinginspectionsandreportingfaults(e.g.leaks,damagedtiles)totheHelpDesk Completingnon-specialistrepairsasrequired Ensuringplannedpreventativemaintenance(PPM)tasksarecompletedwithinagreedtimescales Managingvisitorsign-in/sign-outproceduresandkeycontrol Ensuringsiteinductionsarecompletedforallcontractorsandvisitors ReviewingRiskAssessmentsandMethodStatementsforworksbeingcarriedout Maintainingaccuraterecordsofmaintenanceactivitiesandrepairs Ensuringcompliancewithhealth&safetyregulationsandcompanypolicies Supportingthesafeandcompliantoperationoftheschoolatalltimes Thislistisnotexhaustive,andtherolemayincludeotherreasonabledutieswithinthescopeandgradingofthepost.
