The Village of Hope, a non-denominational, not for profit organization in Salisbury, Maryland is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Executive Assistant. This position provides administrative support to the President/CEO and supports various aspects of the Transitional Living Program and Empowering Children's Project.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creates, manages, and distributes information and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders using modern digital tools and platforms.
- Responds to general phone and email inquiries in a professional, customer-focused manner and routes requests to the appropriate team members.
- Receives, tracks, and processes incoming mail and donations, ensuring timely acknowledgment and follow-up.
- Maintains staff schedules, event calendars, and shared calendars as needed.
- Oversees office operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and coordinating maintenance of office equipment.
- Collects, tracks, and maintains program data to support reporting and funding requirements.
- Coordinates and supports virtual Board meetings via Zoom or similar platforms and assists with basic organizational technology needs.
- Maintains donor records using fundraising and CRM software, generates reports, and ensures mailing and contact lists are accurate and up to date.
- Supports fundraising campaigns and special events and manages social media accounts to increase visibility and community engagement.
- Collaborates with partner organizations and individuals to recruit volunteers and coordinate donations.
- Assists with daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping activities.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for vendors and service providers.
- Attends evening or weekend events as needed to support organizational activities.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in business, education, sociology, or a related field, or comparable professional experience, preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a nonprofit or human/health services organization preferred.
- Proficiency with modern digital tools, including productivity platforms, email, social media, donor/CRM systems, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks); ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, QuickBooks, and data entry systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills complemented by exceptional phone etiquette.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $62,903.58 per hour
