Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all personnel on-site.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring immediate care for any injuries or medical emergencies.
• Document incidents, accidents, and any unusual occurrences in detailed reports for further review.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing necessary information during investigations.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches within the facility.

Requirements

• Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain these certifications if not already held.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems is essential for monitoring activities effectively.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques is a plus.
• A background in military service may be beneficial but is not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
• REQUIRED CPL to apply
