Key Responsibilities

AreaDuties

Automation & Controls

Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotics systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, or similar).

Process Optimization

Collaborate with production and maintenance to improve cycle times, quality, and reliability through automation enhancements.

Project Engineering

Lead controls projects from concept to commissioning — including design, vendor coordination, and implementation.

Electrical Systems

Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.

Maintenance Support

Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams on electrical and automation systems troubleshooting.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all electrical and automation systems meet OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
  • Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Experience with robotics, sensors, VFDs, and motion control systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Metal fabrication or machining environment.
  • Hands-on commissioning and integration of new automation systems.
  • Exposure to MES, SCADA, or data acquisition systems.
