About Turchetti's Meats

Turchetti's Meats is growing fast and we're ready to bring in a plant operator. As Plant Manager, you will take full ownership of our Indianapolis production facility, building systems, leading people, and running day-to-day production as we scale a national charcuterie and deli brand.

About the Role

This isn't a corporate plant manager job. It's a ground-floor, hands on leadership role in a growing national brand built on craft, flavor, and integrity. You will lead every part of daily production, from grinding and curing to packaging and QA, while building the systems, culture, and team that define how we grow. The right person takes pride in their work, believes in real food made the right way, and knows what it takes to run a production floor that people are proud of. This position includes meaningful equity ownership in the company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all production operations, staff, and workflow within Turchetti's Indianapolis facility.
  • Work directly with the Founder and CEO to execute production goals, scale systems, and align operations with brand growth.
  • Lead and implement the daily HACCP plan, ensuring full compliance, record keeping, and clear communication with inspection and QA.
  • Build and maintain a strong, transparent culture of craftsmanship, safety, and accountability across the production team.
  • Manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet fulfillment, QA, and shipping targets.
  • Handle inventory management for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; maintain accurate counts and lot traceability.
  • Order and track non-protein materials such as packaging, casings, labels, spices, and cleaning supplies.
  • Supervise and train production staff, set expectations, and develop future leads as the team expands.
  • Maintain and improve SSOPs, GMPs, and all regulatory requirements for ongoing inspection readiness.
  • Oversee packaging, labeling, and documentation accuracy.
  • Track yields, waste, and downtime to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Coordinate maintenance and sanitation efforts to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
  • Support new product runs, process development, and capacity expansion projects as the brand scales.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing or meat processing, with direct exposure to both raw and ready-to-eat operations.
  • Deep working knowledge of HACCP plans, SSOPs, GMPs, and USDA inspection requirements.
  • Experience leading and developing production teams; confident managing people, schedules, and priorities.
  • Proven ability to oversee day-to-day plant operations, inventories, and ordering.
  • Comfortable working hands on in production, including grinding, mixing, cooking, slicing, and packaging when needed.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with company leadership.
  • Mechanically inclined or experienced coordinating maintenance and facility upkeep.
  • Organized, detail driven, and steady under pressure.
  • Driven by craft, quality, and building a company that stands for integrity and flavor.
  • Startup mindset that values ownership, problem solving, and building systems that last.
  • Absolute bonus
for those who understand salami manufacturing and/or deli meat production.

Compensation

$75,000–$100,000 base salary depending on experience and company growth milestones.

This full-time role includes vested equity ownership, performance-based bonuses, and standard company benefits.

Benefits

  • Paid time off for full-time employees (PTO structure updated with tenure)
  • Paid company holidays for all salaried positions
  • Standard Monday–Friday schedule with consistent daytime hours
  • Equity ownership (1%) and performance-based growth opportunities
  • Health insurance benefits planned for 2026 as the company expands
