Maintenance Lead Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead Technician to perform hands-on and supervisory maintenance of large buildings and multi-building complexes. This role is responsible for HVAC systems, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, leadership experience, and the ability to respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, boilers, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment failures
• Monitor temperatures and system performance
• Maintain maintenance logs and records
• Ensure compliance with building and safety codes
• Supervise staff and outside contractors
• Respond to emergency situations
• Approve vendor invoices and maintenance expenses

Requirements

• High School or Technical School education
• 5+ years experience in building maintenance or construction trades
• (Custodial experience does not qualify)
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, electrical and plumbing
• Ability to read blueprints and equipment manuals
• 2+ years supervisory or advanced maintenance experience

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 80 lbs
• Climb stairs and ladders (up to 12 ft)
• Work indoors and outdoors in various conditions

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
