Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of our farming facilities. This role is critical to maintaining equipment reliability, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting ongoing improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, fabrication skills, and experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, along with a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on farming equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and diagnostic tools
• Repair or replace defective components such as motors, belts, bearings, wiring, and plumbing systems
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs on machinery and structural components as needed
• Operate and maintain various types of equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with painting and general facility upkeep projects
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs
• Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of work
• Follow all safety standards, policies, and facility protocols during maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural environments
• Strong welding and fabrication skills, including:
• Welding
• Oxy-acetylene cutting
• Plasma cutting
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Equipment operator experience preferred
• Strong communication skills in English for documentation and teamwork
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in a hands-on environment
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
