Position Summary

Festac Building Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support routine repair, maintenance, and improvement work across multiple commercial properties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and ensuring that buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The technician will work closely with supervisors and project managers to complete scheduled tasks, respond to service requests, and support ongoing construction and maintenance assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including basic repairs, patching, painting, minor carpentry, light electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting.
  • Assist with facility inspections and help identify repair needs, safety issues, or wear-and-tear concerns.
  • Support commercial renovation and improvement projects as directed by supervisors.
  • Complete work orders efficiently and accurately while documenting all tasks performed.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely according to company guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with property managers, contractors, tenants, and team members.
  • Collaborate with project staff to ensure timely completion of maintenance assignments.
  • Assist in the upkeep of exterior areas such as walkways, parking lots, and building entrances.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other maintenance-related tasks as needed to support daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in building maintenance, facility repair, or a similar field preferred.
  • General working knowledge of carpentry, painting, drywall, basic electrical, and light plumbing.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to lift moderate weights, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites within the local region.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4, $5,274.00 per month
