Job Description
Andaz Miami Beach is looking for Room Service Servers who are excited, qualified, hard-working, individuals with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive Room Service Serving are all beneficial but not required. The Room Service Server is responsible for efficiently and accurately handling all aspects of the restaurant's takeout and delivery business to ensure a seamless experience for customers. Exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role.
Duties and functions
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.
- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Provides prompt, professional, friendly, and personalized service to our guests
- Provides help and support to all fellow colleagues
- Performs opening side work and set up station
- Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings
- Provides professional and exceptional food and beverage service
- Listens to guests and anticipates their needs
- Completes closing side work for specific table sections
- Receive, process, and manage takeout and delivery orders from various platforms, including phone calls, online orders, and 3rd-party delivery services.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, offering menu recommendations, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Accurately input orders into the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system and verify order details to ensure correct items, quantities, and special requests. Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation and packaging.
- Carefully assemble and package orders to maintain food quality and presentation standards. Pay attention to proper packaging techniques to avoid spills, leaks, or damage during transportation.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers or third-party delivery services to ensure prompt and efficient order deliveries. Provide accurate delivery instructions and address any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
- Process payments for takeout orders, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital (tap, phone)
