Local City Driver – KJS Transport (Romulus, MI)
Full-Time | Home Daily | Competitive Pay

KJS Transport is seeking an experienced Local City Driver to join our team in Romulus, MI. This position is responsible for shunting trailers between local drop lots and performing pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Detroit metro area. It's an excellent opportunity for a driver who values steady, reliable work and being home every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Shuttle trailers between company yards and customer yards.
• Handle local pick-ups and deliveries in the Detroit Metro and surrounding areas.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe movement of freight.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain logs, delivery paperwork, and clear communication with dispatch.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 2 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred)
• Clean MVR and CSA record
• Knowledge of Detroit Metro and surrounding local routes
• Professional, safety-focused attitude
