Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection while ensuring a high level of patient care and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood sampling with precision and care.
  • Collect, label, and process specimens according to established protocols.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort during the specimen collection process.
  • Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
  • Document patient information accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards.
  • Monitor and record vital signs as necessary before and after procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and answering questions related to the procedure.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.

Skills

  • Proficient in laboratory procedures and techniques relevant to phlebotomy.
  • Experience in clinical laboratory settings, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform specimen collection and processing accurately.
  • Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with blood sampling techniques and vital signs monitoring.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols for safety and accuracy.
