Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Assist with menu planning to incorporate dietary needs and preferences while maintaining nutritional balance
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
• Support food preparation activities, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients with knife skills and precision
• Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience
• Contribute to catering events or special meal services as needed, demonstrating versatility in food service
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils to uphold safety regulations and hygiene standards

Experience

• Previous dietary department experience or dietary aide experience is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly in a professional setting
• Background in fine dining or restaurant environments is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving in diverse culinary settings
• Skilled in knife handling, meal preparation, and food industry best practices
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and culinary tools used in high-volume or specialized kitchens
