Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents.
• Utilize estimating software such as Houzz to develop accurate pricing models and bid proposals.
• Conduct thorough site visits to gather on-the-ground information relevant to project costs and logistics.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with project management teams to develop project budgets, schedules, and cost control strategies.
• Review contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to ensure accurate cost adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation planning related to project costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
• Proficiency in Houzz or other estimating or project management software tools.
• Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and cost control techniques.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Familiarity with construction site experience enhances understanding of on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing accurate bids and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a proactive approach.
