Responsibilities
- Safely demolish structures, including buildings, walls, and fixtures, following project plans and safety protocols
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to dismantle and remove materials efficiently
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project scope and demolition requirements
- Assist with site cleanup, debris removal, and recycling efforts to maintain a tidy work environment
- Support other construction activities such as framing, concrete forming, masonry, or installation tasks as needed
- Conduct inspections of demolition sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Use construction management software like Bluebeam for documentation and project tracking
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction site work or demolition preferred; familiarity with construction inspection and estimating is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to demolition activities and construction sites
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, or masonry work is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
