Cleaner

Our client, Waycon Manufacturing Ltd., based in Penticton, BC, is a leading industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer serving clients across North America. Operating from a two-acre facility equipped with advanced in-house machinery, state-of-the-art tooling, and modern production spaces, Waycon is known for its commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. 

They are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to support the cleanliness and upkeep of their facility. This opportunity is open to either a part-time employee or an independent contractor, depending on experience. This role plays an important part in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across Waycon's office, shop, and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas on a regular basis.
  
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility.
  
• Empty garbage and recycling bins as required.
  
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure supplies are properly stocked.
  
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning products appropriately.
  
• Assist with periodic deep cleaning tasks, including windows and high-traffic areas.
  
• Identify and report maintenance issues or safety concerns as needed.
  

This position is expected to work approximately 10–15 hours per week, with scheduling that may vary depending on weather conditions and operational needs.

• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, industrial, or office environment.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
  
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  
• Flexible availability to accommodate varying shifts.
  

Compensation is expected to range from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and employment arrangement (employee or contractor).
