Are you looking for an active and rewarding role in Nashville, Tennessee? Our distribution center needs a skilled Order Picker to join our logistics team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our warehouse to fulfill customer orders. This position is critical to our customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations. You'll utilize scanning technology and work in a fast-paced environment. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy a physically engaging job, this role is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or digital instructions.
- Verify product identification and quantity before picking.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and update order status.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and reach trucks safely.
- Package picked items carefully for shipping.
- Replenish inventory in picking locations as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines meticulously.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and audits.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse picking roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanning devices and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including frequent Lifting (up to 45 lbs) and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory principles is beneficial.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety .
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be willing to wear appropriate PPE .
