We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our thriving logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our distribution center. Your proficiency ensures the smooth flow of inventory and supports all warehouse operations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and precision in handling various types of goods. You will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet daily operational goals. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Perform routine pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all logistics guidelines.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the correct use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational targets.
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit or storage.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed.
- Must be able to operate equipment for extended periods and handle significant lifting.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification is required. Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts is a strong asset. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial. Must be able to perform physical tasks including regular lifting and bending. Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and logistics operations. Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Commitment to a safe work environment and the proper wearing of PPE is critical.
