Our Richmond, Virginia logistics facility is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage inbound shipments. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a critical role in the initial stage of our supply chain, ensuring all incoming goods are accurately accounted for and processed. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, verifying delivery details against purchase orders, inspecting products for quality, and efficiently entering data into our system. This position requires a meticulous approach, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify quantities and identify of goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage and report any issues.
- Record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stage received items for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or clerical role preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving some Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
