Become a key player in our fast-paced fulfillment center in Chicago, Illinois, as a Picker/Packer! This role is essential for accurately and efficiently preparing customer orders for shipment. You will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, carefully picking them, and then expertly packing them to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for quality and ensure they match the order.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, using correct packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Follow all established safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed performance targets for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and perform repetitive motions.
- Capacity for lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing necessary PPE.
